What I did over winter break: Read, Read, Read, Sleep, Eat, Shower, Read, Read, Read, Sleep, Eat, Shower, Read, Read, Read, Read, Read, Read…It was lovely.
Here are some of the books that I read (and reread). They are that good.
1. Fire by Kristen Cashore
In a kingdom called the Dells, Fire is the last human-shaped monster, with unimaginable beauty and the ability to control the minds of those around her. But even with these gifts she cannot escape the strife that overcomes her world.
2. Lips Touch By Laini Taylor
Three hauntingly beautiful short stories. Each centered on a kiss.

3. Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh
My friend described it as a saga about a catholic family and the implications of religion, and I was like, “Eh…maybe not for me.” So when I write that it is not only (or even mostly) about religion, but actually about the reflections of a jaded army commander, already old at 39, on how his life had been changed by a peculiar college friend, and you are like, “Eh…not my thing.” Give it a try anyway. Maybe you’ll like it.
4. Song of the Lioness and The Immortals by Tamora Pierce
I don’t know how many times I have read these eight books. Oh probably millions and millions, but they never ever get old. Magic. Knights. Battle. Intrigue. Animals. Love. It really doesn’t get any better than this.
