What’s Going on in Washington D.C.?

I am down in D.C. for the next ten weeks, and as I walk around the Capitol Building, I realize how little I know about what is going on in Congress.

Fortunately, there are two easy ways to catch up.

1. Read the Newspaper:

In addition to the Washington Post and the New York Times, there are entire newspapers dedicated to what is happening in Congress.

The Hill: “A congressional newspaper that publishes daily when Congress is in session.”

Politico: “Covers political news with a focus on national politics, Congress, Capitol Hill, the 2012 presidential race, lobbying, advocacy, and more.”

Roll Call: “Covering Capitol Hill Since 1955.”

2. Go Online:

Websites like OpenCongress.Org, GovTrack.us, and Thomas.loc.gov allow you to track bills, follow the votes of congressmen and women, and find the full text of legislation.
