Running is a great, low-cost way to stay in shape. All you need is a comfortable pair of running shoes, and you are good to go.
What I love about road races, besides the challenge, excitement, and (usually) free t-shirt, is that my entry fee goes to support a worthy cause.
Run Around the Square – 1.5 mile fun run/walk and 5k run
Run through Regent Square and Frick Park’s cross-country trails. This is one of Western Pennsylvania’s largest 5k races!
Great Race – 10k run, 5k run, and 5k walk
Portions of the proceeds are donated to the Richard S. Caliguiri Amyloidosis Fund in honor of race founder and late mayor of Pittsburgh, Richard S. Caliguiri.
Run Shadyside – 5K run and 1 mile fitness walk
