Teen Review: Being by Kevin Brooks

Today, we’ve got a book review from Lavender, a teen volunteer. If you’d like to volunteer at your local library, or blog for us here at CLPTeensburgh, go HERE and fill out an online application form. And if you’d like to take part in our Fine Alternative Program (where teens can work off their fines $5 an hour by volunteering), just ask your friendly neighborhood librarian.

Being by Kevin Brooks

You’ll like this book if you have a mindset for adventure and sci-fi adventures and a little romance (not much). There’s action!! I loved this book so much!! It was just… DOOD the stuff that was said in here would make you want to pick it up and read it again and again and again and again!! Well you get the point c: ANYWAYS. This book is like a slice of heaven for bookworms and beginners. If you want a good read, take this book, and lock yourself in a room–I swear–if you’re a visual person you’ll need the silence.

This book creates some STRONG images. This book is descriptive in many ways. And just!! JUST READ THE BOOK!! It’s really REALLY great!! > . > I approve this message XD c; But to be a little more literate than before; this book would have you craving for more, for a sequel to this book or another from the author. Trust me, this book is great—GREAT!! I know I’ve probably said or implied this a lot, but pick up this book, it’s the perfect mix of action, adventure, and a little romance –un poco (a little). This book kind of reminds me of one of my favorite songs by All Time Low called Toxic Valentine. If you read this book, you’d find out why. There are other songs this book reminds me of just by what some of the characters do on here, you can open your mind up and take in the books awesomeness, or it can blow it open.

This book is mind blowing, to me at least, I hope you enjoy or enjoyed it as much as I did.
