Sarah Dessen is arguably one of the most popular writers of young adult literature. If I had a nickel for every time a teen told me that she is their favorite author, I’d easily be a millionaire! What makes her stand out is the realism she infuses into the stories. Fans can easily relate to her best selling books because they were inspired by the large group of friends she had in high school. Her work feels natural and authentic because they are based in truth and experience.
If you’ve read all of her books, now is your opportunity to see her in person! Sarah will be speaking in the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Lecture Hall (Oakland) on the evening of Friday, January 18. She’ll be talking about her life and her journey to become a writer, as well as her latest book What Happened to Goodbye. Following the event there will be crafts, food, and autographs with the author!
Tickets may be purchased online by visiting the event listing on the Pittsburgh Arts and Lectures website. For more information about the event call Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures at 412-622-8866.
