Shaqui’s Music Reviews: The Complete Plantation Recordings

The Complete Plantation Recordings by Muddy Waters

The Album was good but I thought it was going to be a lot better. Dont get me wrong it was good but I expected a lot more from Muddy waters I guess this wasn’t one of his best albums. But their were some great things his guitar solos were amazing thou. And you can tell that all of the recording was done live. The recordings sounded great with most of the tracks but the live effect made some tracks less appealing

Black Night Road by Sonny Terry

The CD I listend to was Sonny Terry, Album Black Night Road, I thought the music was great. This album is perfect for some one who just wants to lay back and relax. The Album is really laid back and has a cool flowing vibe to it. Their are certain song that can help people cope with the lost of love ones songs that helps get over relationships.

Selena’s Music Review

My World 2.0

Justin Bieber

Review by Selena, Age 12, CLP – Homewood

I think Justin Bieber’s CD belongs in the genre of love songs, because what I heard on his CD were songs about girls and love.  His songs are lively because he puts so much heart into them.  I would recommend this CD to a friend because some of his songs are about how you feel right now and how to get over it.

Toya’s Book Review

The Bully by Paul Langan

Review by Toya, Age 16, CLP – Homewood

This books is about Tyray Hobbs, who’s angry, sad, bitter and determined, and Jamee, who’s protective, concerned and open-minded.  In the book it tells about a freshman’s life — how it had changed from when he first started out high school to the time the year ended.  It tells about everything he went through.  One thing I enjoyed was how Tyray had chanced from the beginning of the book to the end.  Another thing I enjoyed about the book is the way it kept me engaged.

Teen FAP Review: Absolute Boyfriend

Absolute Boyfriend by Yu Watase

If you’re really looking for a Anime/ Manga with a hilarious story, mixed with a little blend of romantic genre and comedy like you’ve never  read before, then you must pick and read the manga, Absolute Boyfriend.  The unsexy, but cute Riiko, who is successful in being rejected  by hot boys, gets the internet 3-day free deal of a lifetime, a human-sensory doll incarnated from a popular Japanese show. The sexy looking Night Tenjo is a doll that can react to any human emotion and the most attractive thing a girl will ever see in her life. However, with great prize comes great price, Riiko must pay 1 million dollar for that doll because she didn’t meet the price that was given on the contact as it was supposed to be returned within 72 hours.  But guess what? She gets a lucky price deal, which will give her a discount and  the requirement is that she must teach the doll all the emotions that girls look for, which means Riiko might have to get to the state of “making love”. Do you think she can handle it with her shyness? The rest is up to you to know while enjoying and reading the most refreshing new taste of romantic-comedy.

Teen FAP Review: Smackdown Vs. Raw

Hello my fellow teens, Smackdown VS Raw is a fun game. I really think the graphics are well done. The freedom is amazing. I also like the audience cheering you on. That is a nice touch. Smacking the referee is fun so he has to get up before he can stop you from beating the snot out of the computer. The tap out is realistic.

I really do not like how easy it is to have moves revered back at you. That is really annoying. You try to grab and all of the sudden it was revered I just wish that did not happen so much The controls are okay.

Overall, Smackdown VS Raw is a nice game.

Teen FAP Review: Princess Resurrection

Princess Resurrection by Yasunori Mitsunaga

Bored of reading the same manga? Here’s a new category for you: vampire Vs. werewolf, good vs. evil, and the “OMG” Princess of decade.  Princess Resurrection is the horror and gothic Manga of a lifetime that you will ever witness. Our main character, Princess Hime (obviously in Japanese meaning princess), deals with every mythical, fatal, horror fiction creatures you can ever name of. The unlucky boy, Hiro and his sister Sawawa, along with the adorable android Flandre are delivering their finest skills to help the Princess in massacring these monsters and facing her rival and blood sister, Sherwood.

It gives off a chilling and suspenseful feeling that will keep you in the edge of our seat and begging for more until you’ve read the final chapter. It is located in the middle of kingdom war between royal highnesses and staged during nighttime when beasts and monsters are awaken and ready to take on anything to get human flesh. But don’t worry,  because our heroes are there to save the day for you. And don’t forget, there is also an awesome team of a Vampire and a Half-Werewolf, as they are disgusted toward each other in every step.

Teen FAP Review: NBA 2K10

Hello my fellow teens.  My name is James I am going to be writing about NBA 2K10.  It is fun and one of the most  realistic games that I have seen and played  This game was a little difficult to figure out as far as controls go.

I liked the realistic nature of the game.  I thought it was  really interesting . You can tell where the players are compared to the ball and the speed is also really nice. Overall, That aspect is really nice.

However, The controls are a little difficult. It is hard to defend the shot. I also thought the constant commentary was annoying. They would not stop replaying every shot  so the game could continue. I was a little surprised  that the game play was with the commentary.  Overall it was a nice play and game.
